FAQS

Commonly Asked Questions About Tutoring Services & Products

Q? Can you help me with a computer problem?

A: We don’t fix computers. We can help you with Microsoft document challenges, how to make great Excel spreadsheets, how to create engaging PowerPoint presentations, or how to use QuickBooks to track your finances.

Q? How does your service work?

A: Since live tutoring and training classes are on hold during the pandemic, we now offer online tutoring through Zoom, and will soon be offering webinars. Simply call or make an appointment online to schedule your session.

Q?  Do you train Mac users as well as Windows users?

A: We don’t teach the Mac OS features themselves, but the Microsoft Office classes still work for a Mac user. There are minor differences, such as the keyboard shortcuts and other details.

Q?  How long are the sessions?

A: Since the one-to-one sessions are by the hour, it’s up to you how long you would like to go, but the minimum is one hour. A typical length of time is 1.5 hours when working online.

When we get started with online classes (multiple people enrolled), those will generally be two 1.5-hour sessions for a total of three hours split up on different days.

Q? I learn best by hands-on training. When can I get live training again?

A: We are looking forward to the day we can have live training sessions, but right now health and safety are important. In the meantime, Melissa has structured the online training to be as hands-on as we can by sending you relevant practice files that you actually work on during our online session.

Q? Can you help me with my spreadsheets/presentations/documents?

A: Absolutely! You can send your document challenges to us and we can target the training to your specific needs.

Q? How much does the online training cost?

A: Right now, we are offering Zoom training sessions for $60/hour.

Q? What if I have questions come up after our training?

A: We will give you our email address if you are one of our students. You can always email your questions to us. You can also call, though we don’t take calls while we are in a training session. That means we will not be taking calls during your training session, either.
